PDE Action Supports Rep. Randy Fine’s Accreditation Choice and Innovation Act

“College and university accreditation should not be controlled by a cartel that increasingly prioritizes diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) at the expense of academic rigor and workforce readiness. That is why Parents Defending Education Action is proud to support H.R. 4054: Accreditation Choice and Innovation Act. 

Rep. Randy Fine’s bill codifies President Trump’s accreditation executive order by empowering states to assign new accreditors to institutions of higher education, including industry-specific groups that will determine whether academic programs align with current professional standards and practices. In addition, the bill requires accreditation agencies to focus on measurable learning and labor market outcomes, not social engineering.

H.R. 4054 would put adults back in charge of higher education accreditation and unleash a powerful new era in college and university oversight.
